I had what would be considered a “good job” with a nice salary, but it involved very long hours and I was always feeling exhausted and undervalued. But life has a way of intervening in the most surprising ways.
My husband became disabled and I couldn’t keep up with the demands of my job and take care of him. I quit my job and looked for ways to earn money from home. I’m not ashamed to admit that I went down some wrong paths and wasted time and money on ventures that didn’t deliver on the promises made.
One day I had a “Eureka! moment” when I realized that I had a skill to offer. I knew how to transcribe! I started applying to transcription companies and landed my first gig within a couple of days.
