The 13 Apps That Will Help You Save Money Easily that you NEED!

Ibotta

Ibotta is a free app gives you coupons for items in the form of cashback. Think of it like couponing without the work! It’s all done on an app without ever having to sift through leaflets or coupon books.

And it’s not just limited to brand name items. If you buy milk, even a generic brand, you will get cash back. Just take a picture of your receipt and you’re all set with your cashback.

You get a $10 bonus when you sign up to start using Ibotta here!

Ebates

I LOVE Ebates! LOVE them! What’s not to love about cash back almost every time you shop? Now they have the option to get cash back IN the stores! Their app makes is super easy to use this new feature, and they have a video on their site that explains it easily. (Plus, you can download the extension for your laptop when you shop and it will pop-up each time you can get cashback!)

You get a free $10 gift card for signing up for Ebates!

Not sure if Ebates is right for you? Check out my brutally honest review of Ebates here: 5 Ways You’re Losing Money With Ebates

Swagbucks

Swagbucks app is another money saver and a money maker. You can earn SB for many purchases that you make, so by having the app handy to know what will earn you SB could result in you making some serious SB cash back.

Start using Swagbucks for free here and get a bonus for signing up!

Digit

Digit is one of my favorite apps! If you’ve ever struggled saving money, this is the app that you need. Digit learns about your banking and automatically moves money into a savings account for you. There’s no thinking, there’s no hemming and hawing about if you can or can’t save the money. I absolutely love this app. If you’re wondering if it’s right for you, here’s a great video on how it works.

Find out more about Digit and start saving!

(The only downside is that it’s $1.99/month, so if you aren’t saving more than enough money each month, it won’t be worth the money for you. But the next one will be worth it!)

Acorns

Acorns does the same thing that Digit does, but it takes it a step further – it invests the money that you save automatically and makes you more money. It saves your money automatically, rounds up to the nearest dollar when you buy something, and invests all of that money for you so that it’s earning while you’re saving on auto-pilot.

Get a $5 bonus just for signing up here!

Gasbuddy

Find the cheapest gas close to you. It might only be a few cents/gallon, but that really adds up over time. This is super helpful when you’re on a road trip and need gas, but all of the places near the highway charge $.50 more than the place down the road.

Cardstar

If you’re sick of carrying around 1,000 rewards cards, library cards, and even your gym membership cards, then this is for you. Another bonus is that this app will automatically show you any coupons of bonuses available just for your form your cards.

Savings Catcher

This app does all of the ad matching so you don’t have to at Walmart. It matches your receipt to all of your local stores and then gives you back the difference if they find it for less somewhere else. You can transfer your money to a gift card to be used in store or online at Walmart!

Cartwheel

If you shop at Target, you should get the Cartwheel app. It will show you coupons that are exclusively available on the app that will save you money on every purchase. Some of the coupons are for 25% off or more!

RetailMeNot

Whether it’s a 25% off coupon or a free appetizer at dinner, they’ve got it on the RetailMeNot app. Especially for clothes stores and restaurants, RetailMeNot has been extremely helpful. They list all of the ways that the internet knows to save money on an item or at a store. Some of the coupons won’t work, but there are still some that work perfectly and will save you serious cash.

Bonus: this is a great site to use when you’re doing online shopping and need to check for coupon codes.

Checkout 51

Checkout 51 is similar to Ibotta – you take a picture of your receipt and the available cashback codes are applied. You can “stack” this app with using Ibotta to double your savings!

MobiSave

This is much like the others. It will work with others as a “stack,” so you can use it and Savingstar, and Ibotta, and Checkout51, etc.! This makes for even MORE FREE items and overage! You can shop at any store you like, upload your receipt, and request your money. There is no minimum with this one, you can request any amount of money you have in your account at anytime and it will be added to your Paypal account within 24 hours!

Shopmium

Again, this one will work with Ibotta and Checkout 51. When you purchase one of their offers, just upload your receipt and they will deposit the money directly in your Paypal account!

These are my absolute favorite apps to use to help me save money!

  • You can stack coupons with Ibotta, Checkout 51, and others to get double or triple cashback every time you to go the store.
  • Save money without ever knowing it using Digit and Acorns (I use this money to fund our family vacation and Christmas each year!)
  • Each time I shop online, I use Ebates to get cashback. Plus, they now check for coupon codes for you to use each time you go to check out!

Money saving apps to download to your smartphone and computer that will save yo thousands of dollars easily and quickly. If you do any kind of online shopping you need these apps to save more money. Unfortunately, there are a lot of these types of services that promise a lot, and deliver very little!
Thanks for the awesome reviews on money-saving apps.
