Browse this list and take a chance on ones that sound the most feasible for you, your skills, and your family.
Proofreading
The first way you can earn money from home as a parent is by proofreading articles, social media posts, and even books.
If this sounds like something you’d love to do, then I recommend following Caitlyn Pyle from Proofread Anywhere. She has a course where she teaches others, like you, how to earn money by proofreading.

Blogging
This next kind of work from home opportunity is one I definitely suggest because I’ve done it personally – start a profitable blog.
Thanks to blogging (and the class that got me here –Elite Blog Academy), I have another full-time income to add to my family’s budget. There are literally thousands of moms just like me that do it too!
I never thought that it would be possible, but less than 15 months after I first launched my blog (as in, I’d never written a post before), I made $3,292 in one month. Less than 18 months after, I started getting serious about blogging, I made $12,007 in one month.
This is one of the most flexible jobs for moms who want to work from home!
Affiliate Marketing
If blogging isn’t your speed, then consider earning money through affiliate marketing.
“Affiliate marketing” is another way of saying “sales.”
If you’re thinking, “I can’t sell anything,” Don’t worry! I’m not a natural seller, either. Actually, I epically failed at sales and just tried to take it out of my business model altogether.
Carly uses affiliate marketing and how you can use her sales style. You can grab her affiliate marketing course HERE for a super low price!
In her course, you’ll learn how to easily earn extra money through affiliate marketing without actually doing sales!
Babysitting or Being A Nanny
Moms, this next one is perfect for you if you have some kiddos at home as well! Consider babysitting or being a nanny right from your home. This is an excellent job for stay at home moms or anyone that wants to save money on commuting to work.
Care.com is a fantastic place to start to get your name out there. Set up a profile and connect with families in search of childcare.
Become a Virtual Assistant
Another really flexible work from home job is a virtual assistant.
What is a VA? It’s someone who manages schedules and online communications for busy professionals. There are virtual assistants who earn an hourly wage from bloggers and small business owners while others charge a monthly retainer fee.

Earn Cashback With Ibotta
Ok, this next idea isn’t actually a “job.” However, it’s a really great way to add an extra revenue source and it takes almost no time at all!
Ibotta is my favorite cashback app of all time. It’s super easy and pays pretty well!
You literally earn cashback by shopping through the app.
I also really like how fast they pay. You only have to earn a minimum balance of $20, then you can withdraw your earnings.
To receive your cashback, you can choose whether to buy gift cards through the app or send the money to your PayPal account. The money usually appears in my PayPal within an hour, but sometimes, it does take up to 24 hours.

Teach English From Home
Moms make excellent teachers because we have patience and a heart for kids! If that sounds like you, then consider making a full-time income from home by teaching English with VIPKid.
VIPKid is an ESL company based in Beijing, China and they provide Chinese students with one-on-one interactive English lessons with Native English speakers (North American).
To qualify, you have to have a bachelor’s degree in any field (not just teaching) and experience working with children whether as a teacher, summer camps, daycare, or volunteering.
This is not a scam or any kind of MLM. This is a real, serious work from home job.

Get Paid To Take Surveys
I had to add this to the list because sometimes, we just want a way to earn a little more coffee money. I get it!
Another way to do this is to take surveys online.
These are my favorite websites that pay you for taking surveys, along with any bonuses that you can earn by signing up.
- Try signing up for Swagbucks here and you’ll receive a free $5 bonus just for signing up through my link.
- You can sign up for American Consumer Opinion here.
- Try signing up for Harris Poll Online here.

Become a Bookkeeper

Use InboxDollars
Another way to add a bit of cash to your bank account that takes almost no time at all is by using InboxDollars.
InboxDollars is an online rewards website I recommend. You can earn cash by taking surveys, playing games, shopping online, searching the web, redeeming grocery coupons, and more.
Also, by signing up through my link, you will receive $5.00 for free just for signing up!
Sell Crafts on Etsy
Do you enjoy crocheting, knitting, making projects with a Cricut, or some other craft? Turn that enjoyment into a small business and sell your wares on Etsy! This is a fantastic way to express your creativity and make some money at the same time.
Sell Your Computer Skills
Maybe arts and crafts aren’t your things – that’s ok! If you prefer a computer and tech instead, then get paid to do tech support. The way to do this is through Experts Exchange.
On this site, you will become one of the 500,000 experts who participate on the site and answer people’s questions.
Use Cashback Apps
Just by shopping, you can earn money back in your bank account. That’s the joy of cashback apps. No, it’s not a job, but it is definitely an easy way to earn money from home. If you want to shop online, use a cashback app to sit back, and effortlessly earn money!
Ibotta is on the top of my list of the best apps to save money and get cashback because you don’t even need to buy brand name stuff to get coupons.
But, there are tons of others as well!
These are some of my favorite cash back apps:
- I LOVE Ebates (who just changed their name to Rakuten)! They work better on the computer than on your phone and they work with sites like Walmart and Target as well as Amazon.
- Swagbucks is on the list of the best apps to save money and get cashback because it’s not just a money saver, it’s a moneymaker, too.
- Digit is one of my favorite apps. If you’ve ever struggled to save money, this is the app that you need! Digit learns about your banking and automatically moves money into a savings account for you.
- Shopkick pays you for just walking into a store. No kidding. Let’s say you do your shopping at Target. You pull up Shopkick so that you earn points for just walking into Target (get 250 bonus points for signing up HERE and using the code KIND938215).
- Fetch is an app that lets you take a picture of your receipt and earn cashback. I’ve got 62k points already by scanning all of the receipts that I’ve been lugging around in my wallet or purse. You get 2,000 points for signing up HERE and using the code T1GQ2 (which is literally like getting $2 toward your favorite gift cards for free).
Sell On Amazon
Another one of the best jobs for stay at home moms is by selling stuff on Amazon. When you use Amazon FBA, you will begin earning extra cash.
What is Amazon FBA?
FBA stands for “Fulfilled By Amazon”. This means that even though you are the ones who own the inventory, Amazon handles all of the orders and warehousing for you.
You can find inventory to sell on Amazon using Retail Arbitrage. That means you go out to regular retail stores like Walmart and buy the inventory to resell on Amazon. When you use FBA, you are not responsible for shipping the items to the customers.
Instead, you pick out inventory, ship it to an Amazon warehouse, and then they store it until a customer places an order. Amazon handles packing, shipping, customer service, and returns.
Plus, you get to list your items on Amazon.com and get in front of their millions of daily shoppers.
Consulting
Finally, if you are an expert in a field – maybe you have teaching experience or years of successful public relations experience – you can use these skills to coach other small business owners.
You can earn money on a per-project basis, charge a retainer fee, or charge an hourly fee. The choice is up to you!
As a consultant, you could earn wages upwards of $50-100 per hour, depending on how much expertise and experience you have.
