Now I will say that there are some small things that will help you a great deal if you have them on hand when you start making your Dollar Store Christmas decorations (or really any holiday):
- Hot glue gun (I got this one because the Dollar Store sells the glue stick refills for it)
- Spray paint (I prefer this finish, personally, but it’s up to you)
- Clear thread (you could really use white, too, but clear has a pretty cool effect)
- Foam brushes (the Dollar Store has them, but they’re really not high quality. I use these and they hold up)
- Modpodge (no alternatives are as awesome as the original – and I’ve tried!)
I want my house to be beautiful and welcoming at Christmas and give off the feeling that I spent tons of time and money making my home perfectly decorated for the holidays. I was wondering about the Dollar Tree Christmas stars ornaments door hanger. I keep looking at it and I can’t see how it is attached. E6000, hot glue, fishing line? I have several of these from last year that I used for a New Year’s Eve party. This is actually quite lovely.
Love so many of the ideas. I’m going to start my Xmas crafts this week. So many things and then I run out of time.
