1. Proofreading
If you are someone that enjoys grammar and correcting spelling errors, then a side-hustle as a proofreader might be perfect for you.
Caitlyn Pyle from Proofread Anywhere teaches people how to make money proofreading. Depending on how many hours you want to work (and your skill level) you could turn this into a work from home career too.

2. Use Shopping Apps
You can also earn money when you buy things for your family like you are going to anyways – just use shopping and cashback apps.
One of my favorite apps of all time is Ibotta because I really do earn cashback on almost everything.
How to earn money through the Ibotta app:
- Download the app and log in.
- Grab the $10 BONUS when you sign up here.
- Choose the site you want to visit and tap it from within the app.
- It will take you to that retailer’s app or site.
- Shop as normal.
- After you are done shopping, tap “Save.” The app will put your earnings in your Ibotta account.
Other ones I love are Ebates (now Rakuten) and Paribus.
Ebates (now Rakuten) gives you a percentage cash back or flat-rate cash back for almost every website you visit. They have a plugin for your internet browser that will make a little popup any time you are on a site that qualifies for cashback.
Paribus is another must-have service for getting you some money back if you ever miss a sale and spend too much!
Paribus keeps track of the price you pay for things when you shop online and if the price drops over the next 30 days, you will get a refund for that amount. And, like any app that you use to save money, it’s free.
3. Start A Blog
This is one of my favorite side hustle ideas because I personally use it! Blogging has the potential to replace your full-time income. If you don’t have time to invest in it that much, you can still earn a really nice amount from it.
Here are some resources that how to set up a blog and start making money from it.

4. Watch Videos With Swagbucks
Have you heard of Swagbucks? It’s a site that pays you a small amount to watch YouTube videos and the commercials in them and then take some surveys about them. It’s not going to replace a full-time income, but Swagbucks is still a fun way to earn a little pocket change while you watch videos.
5. Become A Virtual Assistant
One of the best side hustles that works around your schedule is virtual assistant work.
Virtual Assistants (VA) are like work from home secretaries or administrative assistants. They do things like send and sort emails, light bookkeeping work, update websites/blog posts, and schedule meetings.
Do you think that being a virtual assistant is right for you? Go grab $10KVA and start your own business from home today!
6. Sell Stuff Online
Selling your stuff is a rewarding side hustle that helps you clear out the clutter from your home at the same time.
My favorite way to sell stuff online is through Amazon. They have a really great trade-in program to help you make money off of your old stuff.
You can also sell stuff on Mercari and OfferUp – both are really easy apps to use right from your phone.
7. Transcribing
Hey fast typers, this one is for you! Transcribing takes video and audio files and types them into text documents. The faster you type, the more money you will make.

8. Sell On Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA)
Selling things on Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) is another side hustle that could become a full-time gig.
To do this, you will find inventory to sell on Amazon using Retail Arbitrage. When you find the things you want to sell, use FBA and all that stuff goes to the Amazon warehouse and they are responsible for shipping it to the customers.
Amazon handles packing, shipping, customer service, and returns. Plus, you get to list your items on Amazon.com and get in front of their millions of daily shoppers.
9. Teach English From Home
Teaching English from home could be another work from home job or a side-hustle, depending on how many hours you work. The best company to work for, in my opinion, is VIP Kid.
VIP Kid is an ESL company based in Beijing, China. They provide Chinese students with one-on-one interactive English lessons with Native English speakers (North American). VIP Kid sets the bar high by requiring that American instructors have a bachelor’s degree (in any field) and experience working with children whether as a teacher, summer camps, daycare, or volunteering.
This is not a scam or any kind of MLM. This is a real, serious work from home job.
10. Freelance Writing
Do you love to write? Then earn some extra cash by freelance writing.
There are lots of ways to do this! You can write for major print publications or ghostwrite for bloggers and small businesses.
A great class that will guide you in the details of how to make money as a freelance writer will make life a lot easier for you.
This is the class that I recommend!
11. Secret Shopping With Bestmark
The most legit and best way to earn money with secret shopping is through Bestmark.
Through Bestmark, you go to car dealerships and test the knowledge of the salesmen, or test-drive new cars, or even go into BestBuy and test the knowledge of the floor employees on certain policies.
You can even get a nice dinner for free (2 entrees, an appetizer, 2 drinks, dessert), all for completing the instructions that they give you!
12. Bookkeeping
The final side hustle on my list is bookkeeping! This one is for anyone that loves crunching numbers. It helps if you are a CPA or have an accounting degree.
Ben is the founder of Bookkeeper Business Academy and his course is amazing. If you are looking for a way to earn a full-time income from home and enjoy numbers and order, I highly recommend checking out the FREE class about bookkeeping that he offers.
