And, because only the best kitchen tools can be used for desserts, you can use this cheap kitchen gadget to fill cupcakes! Use the corer to scoop out the inside of the cupcake and fill, then just put the cupcake top back on and frost.
Apple Peeler
This is the same apple peeler that I use and I love it as one of my best kitchen gadgets! It is great for peeling and spiralizing apples, potatoes, onions, pears, and more – seriously, it’s one of the best kitchen tools I have.
You can even get your kids involved in their own meal or snack prep by attaching the fruit or vegetable you want to peel then letting them turn the handle. They’ll love “playing” with their food!
Julienne Peeler
A julienne peeler, like this one, is a great multi-use tool. With different size blades, you can cut long, wide strips or short narrow ones.
(Hint: those short narrow strips of veggies are easy to hide in foods you know your kids will eat!)
Peel zucchini, squash, potatoes, carrots, and any other vegetable you’d like. It’s also great for shaving chocolate for cakes and ice cream!
Programmable Coffee Maker
This list of cheap kitchen gadgets can turn into the best kitchen tools wouldn’t be complete without coffee! A programmable coffee maker is an easy way to start your day.
This is the one I use and it lets you set and forget. Set the timer, fill with water, and add your coffee grounds before going to bed and your coffee will be hot and fresh for you when you wake up.
Plus, did you know that you can make oatmeal, rice, and ramen noodles in your coffee maker by placing them in the carafe and running hot water through.
You can also make chocolate fondue! I have your attention now, don’t I? Heat cream in the carafe, then add broken pieces of chocolate and stir. The carafe is handy enough to bring to the table for everyone to dip their favorite foods.
Even if you aren’t a coffee fan, this is my number one on the list of cheap kitchen gadgets that can turn into the best kitchen tools!
